Day 34: November 14 - Lope More?

Poncho responded to me a little better today; he didn't try to buck or anything. I still can't get him to lope more than 2 strides though, and I don't know how to get him to. I'm torn because I feel like the whole problem with him has been caused because of never getting any releases, but as soon as I reward him for starting to lope, he quits going, even though I'm still matching his energy, and riding a lope. But, if I never give him a release, attempting to get him to maintain the lope, then he's going to start reverting to his other mental pathway of hating everything. Again, I don't know what to do... I really need to talk to Brother Twitchell.
