Day 45: December 5 - Diving In

Poncho seemed a lot shorter while I was riding him today. He wouldn't maintain gait, and it was a lot harder to get him moving. Another thing that I've been noticing is that every time we change gait, whether it is to slow down, or to speed up, he dives into the middle of the arena. I'm starting to wonder if I've maybe let him rest in the middle of the arena too much, and so that's where he thinks he's going to be able to stop? I wish I had more time so I could work on that more, and see if I can fix that habit.
